Trend Reports and Analytics Dashboard showing student progress data

Instructor Attention List

The Instructor Attention List displays student performance across five key parameters for each quiz. Color-coded scoring allows instructors to quickly identify both overall class trends and individual student strengths and weaknesses at a glance.

For each student, there are “Trends” and “Details” buttons. The Trends button reveals how a student’s scores evolve over time for each parameter, while the Details button navigates to the student’s full quiz result page. There, the instructor can listen to the student's actual spoken responses and deliver more personalized, targeted feedback.

Let’s consider a sample Attention List:

At first glance, the class appears to be performing well overall. However, scores in the Vocabulary parameter are comparatively lower across the board, making it the weakest area. This signals an opportunity for instructors to reinforce vocabulary instruction through targeted practice or classroom activities.

In addition, two students stand out with multiple red and pink scores — clear indicators of difficulty. These students may require additional support to stay on track.

Looking specifically at Yiğit’s score trends, we observe that he struggled only on the first quiz, then showed steady improvement in subsequent attempts. This suggests that the feedback he received early on helped him correct his course and gain confidence.

In contrast, Bedirhan’s data shows that he has not taken another quiz after his initial attempt. This may point to a deeper challenge — possibly anxiety or low motivation around speaking English. He may benefit from individualized support to rebuild confidence and reengage with the learning process.

With tools like the Instructor Attention List, no student slips through the cracks. These insights empower instructors to respond early, adjust teaching strategies, and ensure that every learner is seen, supported, and guided toward success.

Empowering Speaking Skills:
Data-Driven Insights for Students and Instructors

Mastering a language, especially the spoken aspect, is a journey that requires consistent effort, focused practice, and effective feedback. But how can students and instructors truly understand progress, identify areas for improvement, and make informed decisions about learning strategies? The answer lies in data visualization and comprehensive progress tracking.

Our platform offers powerful tools that provide both students and instructors with clear insights into speaking development, empowering them to make data-driven decisions and maximize learning outcomes.

For Instructors: A Holistic View of Class and Individual Progress

Instructors play a crucial role in guiding students on their language-learning journey. To do this effectively, they need access to comprehensive data that allows them to understand both the overall class performance and the individual progress of each student. Our platform delivers precisely that:

Class-wide Performance Monitoring:

Instructors can monitor the entire class's performance across all five key speaking parameters: pronunciation, fluency, vocabulary, structure, and content. This overview provides a valuable snapshot of the class's strengths and weaknesses as a whole, allowing instructors to identify common areas where additional focus is needed. This visualization of class data helps instructors to:

  • Identify trends: Are students struggling with a particular aspect of pronunciation? Is there a general need for vocabulary expansion? The class overview makes these trends immediately apparent.
  • Tailor instruction: Based on the identified trends, instructors can adjust their lesson plans and teaching strategies to address the specific needs of the class.
  • Measure the effectiveness of teaching methods: By tracking class performance over time, instructors can assess the impact of their teaching methods and make adjustments as needed.

Individual Student Progress Reports:

In addition to the class overview, instructors can access detailed progress reports for each student. These reports provide a granular view of individual performance across the five parameters, showing progress over time and highlighting specific strengths and weaknesses. This allows instructors to:

  • Provide personalized feedback: With a clear understanding of each student's individual needs, instructors can provide targeted feedback and support, maximizing individual learning outcomes.
  • Track individual growth: The progress reports allow instructors to monitor each student's development over time, celebrating successes and addressing challenges proactively.
  • Make data-driven decisions about individual learning plans: Based on the progress reports, instructors can work with students to develop personalized learning plans that address their specific needs and goals.

For Students: Taking Ownership of Your Learning

Students also benefit significantly from access to progress data. By visualizing their own development, students can gain a deeper understanding of their strengths and weaknesses and take ownership of their learning journey. Our platform empowers students to:

  • Visualize Progress: Students can view their own progress over time across the five speaking parameters. This visualization provides a clear picture of their development and helps them stay motivated.
  • Identify Strengths and Weaknesses: By analyzing their progress reports, students can pinpoint their strongest and weakest areas in speaking. This self-awareness allows them to focus their practice efforts on the areas that need the most attention.
  • Track Improvement and Stay Motivated: Seeing tangible evidence of their progress can be incredibly motivating for students. The ability to track improvement over time encourages continued effort and reinforces the positive impact of their practice.

The Power of Data-Driven Decision Making

By providing both instructors and students with clear and actionable data, our platform fosters a data-driven approach to language learning. This approach offers several key benefits:

  • Targeted Learning: Both instructors and students can focus their efforts on the areas that need the most attention, leading to more efficient and effective learning.
  • Personalized Learning: Instructors can tailor their instruction to the specific needs of each student, maximizing individual learning outcomes.
  • Increased Motivation: Seeing tangible evidence of progress can be highly motivating for students, encouraging them to continue their learning journey.
  • Improved Outcomes: By making data-driven decisions, instructors and students can work together to achieve better learning outcomes and reach their speaking goals more effectively.
